Carol Helen Watwood

Carol Helen (Lemnah) Watwood, Age 73, of Nixa, Passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013. She was born to Marshall and Helen (Kaden) Lemnah, April 9, 1940, in Highgate Falls, VT. She spent her childhood in Vermont and had many great friends and memories of her time there. On July 12, 1958, Carol married Charles Watwood, her husband of nearly 55 years. They lived in many areas of the country, Texas, Kentucky, Washington, California, Vermont and eventually moved to Missouri. They had an adventurous life and she always made their new houses a home for her family. Carol was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved to garden, can, craft and spent a lot of time on outdoor adventures with her children. She was a loving caregiver to her mother Helen, until she passed away at age 99. She loved to go on hikes in the mountains and enjoyed spending time with her children and eventually with her grandchildren. She also played a huge part in caring for her great grandchildren. Carol retired from the County of Sacramento in California, working in the court system. She will be missed dearly and was loved by many. Carol is survived by her husband Charles,four children, Chuck Watwood, Craig Watwood, Paul Watwood, and Carrie Watwood Martin, and a son in law, Shawn Martin; Grandchildren, Ian Watwood, Crystal Martin, Trevor Martin and Ethan Martin; Great-grandchildren Victoria Watwood, Owen Watwood, Cameron Martin, Nora Martin, and Olivia Watwood; Carol has a sister, Ella Fullbright and two brothers, Roger and Doug Lemnah. Carol is preceded in death by her parents. A private memorial service to be held at 10:00 A.M, Saturday July 6, 2013, at Grace Community Worship Center, 380 E. Hwy CC, Nixa.
