Carol Jane Richardson Grove, age 83, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was born February 2, 1931 in Republic, Missouri, the daughter of Ralph and Clara (Edwards) Aycock. In 1950 she was united in marriage to William J. "Bill" Richardson. He preceded her in death in 2004. In 2008 Carol and Charles Grove were married.
Carol served as a minister's and missionary's wife. For over 20 years they served in Holland as missionaries for the Church of Christ. Carol taught Ladies Bible Class for more than 50 years. Carol was a gracious and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to whoever she came in contact with. She treated each person she met with grace and respect, showing her love for them as a special person. For 25 years she sacrificed without complaint as she cared for ailing family members.
Survivors include: Her husband, Charles Grove, and his three children and their families; six children and their spouses, Tim and Alys Richardson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Bonnie and Steve Stenzel of Jay, Oklahoma, Craig and Debbie Richardson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Lynette and Murray Fullner of Memphis Tennessee, Mark and Dawn Richardson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ralph and Susie Richardson of Claremore, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara Williams of Flagstaff, Arizona; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill, a sister, Bonnie Jones of Oklahoma, City, and her parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, August 28, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Oldfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
