Carey Franklin Maples, 55 years old, went to be with our Lord and the love of his life Denise on March 18th, 2015. Carey was born August 7th, 1959 to Eddie and Betty Maples in Springfield Missouri. He lived most of his life in Nixa. Attending high school at Central and graduating from Nixa in 1977. Carey attended the University of Missouri Rolla and graduated with a Mechanical Engineer degree. He married Denise in 1979.
Survivors include his parents Eddie and Betty Maples of Nixa; two daughters Kiley Chastain and Lexie Maples both of Nixa; Four granddaughters Ellie Maples, Natalie Chastain, Korbie and Renner Maples; One brother Chris Maples, and wife Susan, of Schell City Missouri; One Aunt, Linda Gamble of Nixa and one Uncle Larry Maples of Clever; her father and mother in law, Jerry and Ruth Moore of Nixa; One very special family friend since 1949, Dorothy Doering of Nixa; Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Carey was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friends to many. Carey had a personality that you couldn't resist. He'd never ask for anything and would give his last dollar to anyone. He was a member of the Christian Church. Carey's interests varied from bull riding school when he was young, and many fun times at Flat Creek fishing, floating, and many nights around a campfire playing charades. To more recently, becoming a member of the Eagles Aerie 4262 of Christian County.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to all that has helped over the last several months. We could not have done this without all of you.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 22, 2015, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa
