Bryan Haugen, age 52, of Nixa, passed away December 2, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. He was born March 27, 1961, to Leland and Lolita (Hartke) Haugen, in Monroe, MI. He was united in marriage to Trisha Hancock, October 22, 1983. Bryan and his family attended South Haven Baptist Church, in Springfield. Bryan loved sports and was a fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved cruising the open road on his motorcycle with friends and family. Bryan was the Assistant Director of the Christian County Health Department. He was a joy to be around with his happy go lucky attitude and great sense of humor. He has many family and friends who will miss him greatly.
Bryan is survived by his wife Trisha, of Nixa; son Tylor, of Nixa; siblings, Tom Haugen, of West Virginia, sister Diane Mazzoli, and husband Gary, of Apopka, FL, Joe Haugen, and wife Vicky, of Franklin, OH, and Annette Marriott, and husband Lanny, of Fortuna; grandchildren, Chloe Haugen and Kaiden Arwood; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Bryan is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Monday, December 9, 2013, at South Haven Baptist Church, at South Campbell and Broadmoor, Springfield, MO.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
