Brian E. Thornhill, age 34, of Nixa passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016, after a brave battle against colon cancer. Brian passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Brian was the son of Richard Alan Thornhill and Felicia Elizabeth (Gore) Thornhill. He was born on March 5, 1981 in Kansas City, MO. He attended school in the Raymore-Peculiar school district and graduated from Raymore-Peculiar High School in 1999. He continued his education and graduated from Missouri State University in 2004 with a degree in Hospitality and Hotel Management. After graduating from school, Brian worked for several hotels in the Springfield, MO area. He decided that he wanted to be an entrepreneur and he opened his own business, Bri-Graphics in Nixa, MO. He owned and operated his successful business for 9 years. He was a member of the Nixa Chamber of Commerce.
He married Tarrah Chauncey Moore on June 16, 2006 in Blue Springs, MO. Their daughter, Kyleigh Sue, was born in 2013 and was the joy of his life. Brian adored his daughter and enjoyed spending time with her playing in the park. Besides adoring his daughter, Brian loved to watch the KC Chiefs and KC Royals and attended many games. He also was an avid golfer and spent many wonderful times on the links where he met his wife, Tarrah. He loved to travel; especially anywhere there was a beach. He lived his life to its fullest and had many clients and friends in the Nixa area.
Brian is survived by his wife Tarrah and daughter Kyleigh, Nixa, MO; his parents Richard and Felicia Thornhill, Raymore, MO; his sister Jennifer E. (Thornhill) Bracken and her husband Matthew, and nieces Harleigh and Gracyn, Hendersonville, TN; his brother David Thornhill and wife Theresa and niece Elsa and nephew Spencer of Prairie Village, KS and his brother Richard Thornhill, Jr. and his wife Marie and nephews Tyler and James, Fontana, CA.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wesley and Leila Naylor and Felix and Elizabeth Gore; and his nephew Kyle Thornhill.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with a visitation prior to the funeral from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the funeral home. Cremation will follow the funeral service. .
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a college fund that has been set up for his daughter Kyleigh or to a charity of your choice in Brian's name.
