Brenda Kay White

Brenda Kay White, age 64 of Nixa, passed away January 16, 2022. She was born October 22, 1957 in Springfield, the daughter of Preston and Genoba (Barnett) Williams.

On April 12, 1974 she was united in marriage to Hal White.

Brenda owned and operated Julie’s Chewies Gourmet Sweets for 16 years. She loved spending time with her grandkids. Brenda was an avid antique collector and enjoyed going to auctions.

Survivors include: her children, Crystal Adkins and husband Justin of Nixa and Chris White and wife Jessica of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas; grandchildren, Avery, Wyatt, and Victoria Adkins of Nixa and Paxton, Newlyn, Henli and Merritt White of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas; two sisters, Thelma Haley and husband Roger of Springfield and Barbara Cash and husband Ernie of Louisville, Kentucky; and a brother, Rick Williams of Springfield.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Randy Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. immediately before the funeral at the funeral home.
