Bonnie Lee (Wilson) Preston, age 85, passed away in her home on August 3, 2012. She was born October 16, 1926, in Carroll County, MO, the eldest daughter of William Sherman and Minnie (Smith) Wilson, who preceded her in death along with her oldest brother, Bill and her youngest brother, Don Rex Wilson. She is survived by her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Oscar Stanley and Fae and Don Nolte, and brother and sister-in- law, Ralph and Carol Wilson, and sisters-in-law, Minnie Mae Wilson along with sister-in-law, Nina Chrisman and sister and brother-in-law Nelda and Jerry Rogers. Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Bonnie attended school in rural Carroll County, MO; De Witt, MO; and Bogard, MO, graduating at the age of 16 from Carrollton High School. After graduation, she moved to Jefferson City, MO, to work for the Speaker Pro Tem for the Missouri House of Representatives. On June 20, 1948, she was married to Roy (Shorty) Preston in Carrolton, MO. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary before his death on April 9, 2010. Following marriage, Bonnie was a homemaker and full time mother to her daughters. In 1977 she became an administrative assistant at Park Hill High School in Kansas City, MO, where they lived from 1958 to 1998. Bonnie and Shorty also lived in the Missouri towns of Unionville, Marshall, and Excelsior Springs prior to moving to Kansas City. In 1998 they moved to their current home in Nixa, MO. Bonnie was baptized at the age of twelve and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, most recently attending Riverside Church of Christ, Ozark, MO. Bonnie is survived by her immediate family that she loved and enjoyed very much. Bonnie and Shorty were the proud parents of two daughters and sons-in-law; Jan and Tim Green, Tulsa, MO, and Susan and Dan Carter, Nixa, MO. They were also the proud grandparents of six grandchildren: Whitney Green Hicks, Matthew Green and Melissa, Nathan Green and Ashley, Jason Green and Caroline, Caleb Carter and Kylie Carter Wright and Devin. They had three great grandchildren, Shelby Green, Preston Green, and Gentry Green.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
Commital Ceremony will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield
