Bobby Stephens

Bobby "Bob" J. Stephens, Ozark, Mo, passed Saturday, December 3rd, after a triumphant battle with cancer. Though he is gone in body, he will forever live on in our hearts. Bob was born November 6, 1959 in St. Louis, Mo, to J.T. and DormaLee Stephens. He wed Mona on October 14, 1989 and with this union he became the father to Cati and Candice and soon welcomed his third daughter, Mel. Bob was a great father, husband, and provider for his family. Bob is survived by his wife, Romona Stephens, daughter and son-in-law Candice and Jarred Williams (East Moline, IL), daughter and son-in-law Meleata and Stacy Sheppard (Springfield, MO), mother, DormaLee Stephens (Ava, MO), his brother and four sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Catlyn Allison-Stephens and father, J.T. Stephens. The family wishes to thank Milky-Way Transport, Co for their continued support in Bob's 28+ years of service with the company. In lieu of gifts, Bob wished to ask friends and family to consider making a donation to Route 66 Pet Rescue or adopting a pet from the rescue. Bob and Mona enjoyed fostering dogs for the rescue and it is important to Bob to continue to support the organization. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of life from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, December 8, at New Hope Baptist Church, 960 Highway JJ, Sparta. Cremation was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
