Bobby Lee Smith

Bobby Lee Smith passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on April 8th, 2015. Bobby was born on August, 17th 1940 in Springfield, MO to Inez (Lee) Smith and Kenneth B Smith. He joined the Marine Corps in 1957 and served in Korea. Bobby did many things over the years including Truck driving and Welding at Doing Steel in Springfield. He also served on the Legion Honor Guard of Springfield. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He married his wife Carolyn on May 17th, 1997 and spent 18 happy years together. Bobby is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Smith, Daughters: Samantha (James) Byerly, Caren Hayes, Kyla Cox, and Crystal (Brent) Fox. Sons: Robert Lee Smith, Bobby Lee (Shannon) Smith Jr, Johnny Campbell, Tim (Jen) Gardner, Scott (Lori) Gardner. He was blessed with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog Taffy. Bobby was preceded in death by; Mother, Inez L (Lee) Smith; Father, Kenneth B Smith; Brother, Mitchell "Steve" Smith, Brother, Kenneth "Bradley" Smith; Sister, Lucille K. Smith. Daughters, Phyllis Renee (Penny) Smith, Gloria Eval Smith (Vollie), Terri Lynn Meyers and his Grandparents. Remembrance and Services will be held Friday, April 17th at Kingsway Free Will Baptist Church at 12 pm, at 2615 N Park st in Springfield, MO. Intenment will be at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery, at 3 pm, at 5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield. Memorials and flowers may be delivered to Kingsway Free Will Baptist Church between 9am and 11 am on the day of service. Cremation under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
