Bobby C. Pearson, age 88, of Clever passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. He was born in Springfield May 28, 1930. Bobby was raised in Springfield and attended Central Senior High School. Bobby married Mary Helen Shaffer July 12, 1952. Bobby joined the U. S. Army in 1949 and retired after 26 years. He was a mess sergeant and later became a personal aid to four Army Generals; the last general was his favorite, Major General Howard W. Penney. Bobby earned the Meritorious service medal. After he retired from the Army, Bobby worked for Kraft Foods in Springfield for 14 years. He and his wife, Helen, enjoyed their 28 acre farm in Jamesville raising cows and horses.
Bobby is survived by his son Dan Pearson of Nixa; a daughter-in-law Holly Pearson of Brighton; and grandchildren Dustin, and Cooper; and a granddaughter Tyler.
Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Helen; and a son Dave Pearson.
A visitation will be held from 1230 PM to 1:30 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full military honors following the visitation.
