Bill Burr, age 70, of Ozark, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018. He was born April 29, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Alison and Susie (Ramsey) Burr. He graduated from high school in Harrison, attended College of the Ozarks and graduated from Arkansas Tech in Russellville. In 1967 he and Carolyn Sue Young were married.
Bill retired after 27 years with the Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield. After retiring he worked as a bailiff for the Greene County Court. Bill knew the Lord and had attended First Baptist Church in Ozark, and James River Assembly. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. He loved to tell stories and joke with friends and family. Bill enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include: His wife, Carolyn: two sons, Shannon Burr and wife Julie of St. Peters, Missouri, and Scott Burr and wife Jen of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Madison, Lauren, Jack, Andrew and Katie; two brothers, Frank Burr and Everett Burr; a sister, Alma Burr; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, October 18, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday. Following the service Bill will be cremated with burial in Prospect Cemetery, Ozark.
