Beverly met the love of her life David "Pete" Stucker at a donkey ballgame in her Junior year of high school. Pete was working in Kansas at the time. After graduating high school Beverly moved to St. Louis where she worked at the St. Louis Union Trust Company. She started her lifelong commitment to Christ at this early age. Beverly and Pete married May 30, 1952 and resided in Poplar Bluff, Missouri where they raised their four children.
Beverly worked as a seamstress at the Poplar Bluff Garment Factory for 20 years. Later she and Pete worked for the Poplar Bluff School System which allowed the family to travel during the summer and they spent countless hours visiting parks and recreational areas and enjoying the sites in more than 20 states. Traveling to the mountains and area parks was a pastime they both enjoyed until their retirement.
Beverly and Pete moved to the Nixa area after retirement to be closer to their children. Just prior to Pete's passing in 2015, Beverly moved into Riverview Residential Place where she finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of writing a book honoring her late Mother, Wretha Black.
