Betty Jean Sehie

Betty Jean Sehie, age 79, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on December 18, 2012, after a six month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born April 1, 1933, in Agra, Oklahoma, the youngest child of Ira Colvin Myrick and Irene Claris (Harmon) Myrick. On June 15, 1955 she married the love of her life, Clifford Eugene Sehie at the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Betty was employed by OGE in Oklahoma City for three years, and worked for 3M Company in Springfield for 17 years. She had lived in Nixa since 1972. Betty enjoyed reading and preparing meals for family and friends. She had been a faithful member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church since 1969. Betty was active as a United Methodist Woman in both district and local levels all of her adult life. Betty touched our lives and souls and her presence was a gift we will always be thankful for. Survivors include: Her devoted husband of 57 years and six months, Clifford; three children, Kathy Jean McCroskey and husband Brent of Springfield, Missouri, Sherrie Renae Kuster and husband Don Hutson of Alton, Missouri, and Randall Eugene Sehie of Nixa; four grandchildren, Julia, Jason, Lora and Andrew; six great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joshua, James Jayna, Jaxon, and Aurora; a brother, Ira Colvin Myrick Jr. of Rogers, Arkansas; three nephews, Larry, Donnie, and Steve; a niece Terri Foster; and several great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother, a nephew, and her parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, in Schweitzer United Methodist Church, Springfield, Missouri, with Pastor Bob Casady officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Friday in Delaware Cemetery, west of Nixa. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 PM Thursday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Memorial donations may be made to Schweitzer United Methodist Church.
