Betty Jo Raines

Betty Jo Raines, age 88, of Springfield, went into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, May 29, 2014. She was born June 6, 1925, in Springfield, the daughter of Melvin and Hattie (Daugherty) Ellingsworth. On November 17, 1945, she and Lawrence Dale Raines were united in marriage. Betty was employed by Colgate-Palmolive as a benefit clerk. They lived in Texas and returned to this area 15 years ago. Betty loved to serve others and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed golfing and fishing with friends and family. Survivors include: Her husband, Dale; and a multitude of nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Baker, and her parents. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 2, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Terry Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home.
