Betty Jo Jones Neal - Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2017, surrounded by her six children, who thank their Lord Jesus for the gift of their mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Wayne Neal. She has left a rich heritage of six children, sixteen grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren with many more to come. She was born September 3, 1928 in Carthage, Missouri to Carl and Hazel Jones. She is a graduate of South Jr. College in Joplin, Missouri. She taught one year at Gardendale School of Carthage, Missouri. She earned a degree from Braughon's Business University of Springfield in 1949. She worked for the Government as a Keypunch Operator until she married Vernon Wayne Neal in 1955. Together, they worked in Christian Ministry for 51 years, pioneering two churches and working with many other churches and ministries in several states. She will be forever remembered by her family and friends as a beloved mother and a prayer warrior. She was a very loyal, caring and generous person. She always put the needs of others before her own. Her door was always open and her dinner table full. She loved family gatherings, planning big meals, and playing a competitive round of Rook. She was blessed and a blessing to many. Her joy in life was knowing and serving her Lord Jesus Christ.
