Bessie Mae (Rideoute) Rice, age 83 of Nixa, passed away January 19, 2014 in Christian HealthCare, Nixa. She was born May 11, 1930 in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. After marrying James Emmett Rice, Bessie became a homemaker and mother. Survivors include: her son, James Stephen Rice, Nixa, Anita Krayer, Memphis, Tennessee, Michael Rice, Springfield, and Gerald Rice, Louisiana. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. Cremation under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
