Bennie Kent Moseley, age 80, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 in his home. He was born September 30, 1936 in Manes, MO, the son of James "Gus" Augustus Moseley and Elois Lilith (Shelby) Moseley. On July 5, 1956 he and Loeata May Musser were married.
Bennie owned Moseley Drywall throughout his working career. He loved farming and raising cows. Whenever he found time he enjoyed hunting, especially quail hunting and coon hunting in his earlier years with his brother, Jerry.
Bennie and Loeata are members of Fremont Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include: His wife of 61, years, Loeata; five children, Debbie Herndon (David Boyer) of Nixa, Scott Moseley (Sonia) of Nixa, Sandra Sullivan (David) of Evansville, IN, Karen Mills (Kent) of Nixa, and Rick Moseley (Michelle) of Clever; five grandchildren, James and Andrew Cushman, Quinton Herndon, and Mitchell and Halle Sullivan; two brothers, Jimmie Moseley (Ruth) of Hartville, and Jerry Lee Moseley (Edna) of Mountain Grove; and a sister Patsy Jo Wade (Bill) of Mountain Grove.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 1, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A graveside funeral will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 2, at Friendship Cemetery near Mountain Grove with Rev. Art Hicklin officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Fremont Hills Baptist Church Building Fund.
