Benjamin Franklin Rhoads

Benjamin Franklin Rhoads III, "Benny,"� age 63, of Nixa, passed away September 27, 2011 in Harrison, AR, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 31, 1947 in Blytheville, AR, the son of Benjamin Franklin Rhoads II and Gladys Virginia (Grant) Rhoads. On September 27, 1968 he and Shelia Tims were united in marriage. Benny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved to spend time on the lakes and was an avid gardener. He was known for his sense of humor and loved to be surrounded by his family. Survivors include: his wife, Shelia; two children, Ben Rhoads and wife Farah, Austin, TX, and Amy Bias and husband Aaron, Ozark; four granddaughters, Emily and Elizabeth Bias and Evan and Ruby Rhoads. Siblings include: Delcie Woelbing and husband Al, Bull Shoals; Wanda Sanders and late husband Gene, Mountain Home; Linda Miller, Harrison; Sue Seay and husband Del, Harrison; the late Keith Rhoads and wife Jackie, Gassville; Pam Martin and husband Mike, Harrison; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Rhoads II, his mother Gladys Rhoads, and brother James Keith Rhoads. Services will be held 11:30 am, Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, MO with graveside services at 1:00 pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Reverend Don Tims officiating.
