Becky Ann Owen

Becky Ann Owen, age 59, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014. She was born January 30, 1955 in St. Louis, the daughter of Archie and Meta (Whanger) Owen. Becky was a graduate of Normandy High School in St. Louis. She was a joyous child, but while in her teens began to struggle with mental health issues. In spite of this, Becky learned to live life always with hope, depending on her Lord to give her strength for each day's challenges. She continued to live at home until moving to Life Enhancement Village in Nixa 20 years ago. She always tried to encourage others through prayer, scripture, comfort, and laughter. She was very close to her family, and enjoyed having meals at restaurants, shopping, and visiting with family members. Becky's mother, Meta, preceded her in death in 2008. Survivors include: Her father, Archie Owen of Billings; three siblings and their spouses, Kerry and Kathy Owen, of Farmington, Linda and Virgil Malmberg of Chesterfield, and Jackie and Jeff Cunningham of Billings; two nephews, Brian Cunningham and Ben Cunningham; other relatives, and her many friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 18, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Burial will be at 2:30 PM Saturday in Ball Cemetery, Dora, Missouri.
