Barbara Jo Lloyd of Ozark, died September 20, 2023. She was 84 years old and had been ill for several years. Her husband, Grady Lloyd, died on January 25, 2018.
Barbara was a joyous, fun-loving, strong willed and forceful soul who loved to sing, cook, and dress sharp. She was a former hairdresser and makeup artist who worked for Lancome at Famous Barr and Dillards until retirement. She and her husband, Grady, operated the Ozark Locker Plant which they bought in the early 1960’s. Barbara helped at the Locker Plant as needed, but everyone knew she loved working in a more glamorous setting.
Barbara was also a house-proud mother and wife who loved to cook and maintain a spotless home. And sing. She often sang the National Anthem at school and loved singing in church. She played the flute in the marching band, as well. All while she sported bright-red nails and lipstick. As she got older, her favorite belongings were her mink coat and her Louis Vuitton handbag.
Barbara is survived by her children, James Lloyd and wife Sheila of Ozark and Joleen VanHoose and husband Joel of Ozark; her brother, Ron Tindle of Ozark; her grandchildren, Amy Acker and husband Mark of Ozark, Stephanie Bloom and husband Michael of Ozark, Aubrey VanHoose and wife Janie of Springfield, Andrew VanHoose of Springfield, and Zachary Lloyd of Ozark; and her great grandchildren, Elijah, Taygen, Elena, Avery, Capri, Leighton, Coen, Charlie, Kya and Archer.
