Barbara Jane Bedwell, age 77 of Ozark, died January 27, 2024. She was born October 8, 1946 in Vallejo, California, the daughter of Robert and Irene (Snyder) Gillmer.

Barbara was a member of James River where she taught preschool classes. She enjoyed traveling and reading in her free time. Barbara always spoke her mind and made everyone laugh. She cherished her family more than anything in the world and always did what she could to make them smile even until her last moments.

Survivors include: her son, Joseph Anaya of San Diego; two daughters, Karen Powell and husband Scott of Ozark and Desirae Fuller and husband Michael of Springfield; grandchildren, Amy Dennis and husband Christopher, Joshua Powell, Savannah Lewis and husband Thomas, Myah Fuller and Brody Fuller; and great grandchildren, Tanner, Tyson, Gabriel, Kai and Mia Dennis and Sawyer Lewis.

Barbara was preceded in death on November 4, 2017 by her husband of 25 years, Leonard Bedwell; and her parents.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.

Cremation rites were accorded by Adams Crematory, Ozark, and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Brandon Hukill officiating.
