Augusta Janssen

Augusta Janssen, age 92, of Nixa, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011in the home of her daughter. She was born March 13, 1919 in Retie, Belgium, the daughter of Frans and Carolina Janssen. Following the death of her husband, she took back her maiden name, as is the custom in Belgium. Among other survivors Augusta is survived by: two daughters, Carolina Kahl, Nixa, and Maria VanDingenen-Nuyts, Belgium; and twin sister, Leonie Janssen, Belgium. A wake will be 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 17 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, followed by visitation until 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 18, in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Nixa. As the service time approaches, please check this obituary for updates.
