Arvilla "Artie"� Martin, age 87, of Ozark, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 in her home. She was born April 23, 1925 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Othie and Amy Helen Simpson. On May 3, 1940 she and Elmer Martin were united in marriage.
Artie worked from Hagales Industries before retirement. She was a faithful member of Maranatha Chapel in Ozark and was proud to be a Pentecostal. She always enjoyed visiting with others and going to garage sales. She crocheted and embroidered for family and friends.
Survivors include: eight children, Wilma Clinton of Ozark; Bonnie Smith and husband Roy of Ozark, Danny Martin and wife Sheryl of Sparta, Vicki Moody and husband Jim of Ozark, Linda Letterman and husband Charles of Sparta, Veronica Rice of Ozark, Penny Bowers of Ozark, Kristina King and husband Dean of Rogersville; 140 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer in 1979, four children, Rovinna Gideon, Elmer Lee Martin, Peggy Morisset, and Johnny Martin, and her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, December 23, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Shane Pharris officiating. Burial will follow in Shipman Cemetery, Sparta.
Visitation will be from 3:00 "� 5:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home.
