Arley Richard Harp, age 76, of Nixa, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012. He was born March 18, 1936 in Nixa, the son of John Chester Harp and Edith Inez (Maples) Harp Borgstadt. He graduated from Willard High School, and on July 20, 1956, he and Barbara Aline Borgstadt were united in marriage. Mr. Harp retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone following 38 years of service. Survivors include: Four children, Randall Boyd Harp and his wife Rosa, Naples, Florida, Loretta Maberry and her husband Wayne, Strafford, Arley Richard Harp II, Marshall, Missouri, and Raymond Craig Harp and his wife Deborah, Crestview, Florida; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters. His wife, Barbara, preceded him in death in 2004, as well as a sister, and his parents. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 12, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A scattering ceremony will follow in Delaware Cemetery, west of Nixa. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Tuesday.
