Arlene Mae Lamb, age 77 of Ozark, passed away January 23, 2014. She was born October 10, 1936 in Lusk, Wyoming, the daughter of Edward and Fanny (Cole) Mauk.
In 1951, Arlene married J.H. Davis, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Arlene worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator with her brother, who owned C.E. Mauk Excavating. Later she worked as a waitress at the Ozark Dinner House before opening her own restaurant, Hilltop Drive Inn, in Ozark.
In 1991 Arlene married L.E. "Buff" Lamb. Buff preceded Arlene in death on November 16, 2001.
Arlene enjoyed sewing. She especially liked playing the lottery and slot machines. Arlene also enjoyed watching old time western movies.
Survivors include: her three sons, Larry Davis and wife Sharon, Ozark, Jeff Davis, Ozark, and Ken Davis, Ozark; five grandchildren, Christina Davis Davies and husband Lewis, Nixa, Dusti Davis, Ozark, Jeffery Davis and wife Laura, Springfield, Casey Davis, Sparta and Heather Davis, Ozark; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husbands, Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clyde Mauk and Claris Mauk; and her sister, Frances Sleeper.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, in Selmore Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
