Arleigh Burdette Watson, age 69, of Highlandville, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. He was born May 19, 1941 in Wilsonville, Nebraska, the son of Arleigh and Evelyn Darlene ( Phillips) Watson. His parents preceded him in death. Arleigh served his country in the U.S. Army. On April 5, 1958 he and Judith Jean Anderson were united in marriage in Newton, Kansas. Arleigh retired from Prestressed Casting Company after 40 years of quality work. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid Lady Bears Fan, and enjoyed the Kentucky Derby each year. He attended Healing River Worship Center in Walnut Shade. Survivors include: Judith, his wife of 53 wonderful years; five children and their spouses, Corey and Patty Watson, Highlandville, Cary and Sylvia Watson, Springfield, Tammy and Ross Trimble, Cane Hill, Brian and Mary Watson, Chestnut Ridge, PA, and Robert and Tammy Watson, Branson; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers and their spouses, Larry and Mona Watson, Springfield, and Rick and Janelle Courtright, Newton, Kansas; a sister, Susan Casebeer, Lindsberg, Kansas; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 10, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Tim Snider officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Tory Cemetery, Highlandville. Visitation will be from 6:00 "� 8:00 PM Monday in the funeral home.
