Anthony Carl Schnur

January 26, 1931 — June 29, 2018

Anthony Carl Schnur: January 26, 1931 - June 29, 2018 Beloved: husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Born in Cincinnati, OH to Anna and Anthony Schnur. At the age of twelve, his family moved to Denver, Colorado to accommodate his mother's health. After graduating from North High School he went to work for Heiser Saddle Company. He made western wear, such as gun holsters, wallets, saddles, and horse bridals. From there he went into the printing business and retired in 1992 from Hirschfield Press. Anthony is survived by, wife Linda Kay Churches Schnur. They would have celebrated their 54th anniversary, in November 2018. They met in church when Linda was just sixteen, right then Linda knew she would eventually marry Anthony. Anthony is survived by daughter, Carrie Lynn Schnur of Denver, CO, Curt Anthony Schnur of Bismarck, ND, his daughter Stacy Schnur of Evergreen, CO, and daughter Mindy Ann Bankson of Nixa, MO, her husband Timothy Bankson and their two children Cayla and Timothy Bankson. He is also survived by both his younger siblings, his sister Annette and her husband Melvin Green, brother Jack and his wife Marlene Schnur, and many nieces and nephews. Anthony had several hobbies, music being one of his greatest passions. He sang and played several instruments in a Gospel/Western band, The Christianairs, in service to the Lord for more than 30 years. As a youngster he also played the trumpet with a band that performed at the iconic Elitch Gardens, where he often went dancing with his sister too. As an avid fisherman he loved tying his own flies. He was very particular about the color and the way they were tied. Fishing was a family and friends adventure. It was at, Beaver Lake, where Anthony and friends coined the phrase and yelled "raw meat!" to notify one another a fish had been caught. Once he retired he also developed an ambivalent relationship with golf. His unwavering faith in God began as a young man when he was an altar boy. However it wasn't until he was thirty that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Anthony served Him faithfully till the day the Lord met him in the air. Anthony's: friendship, words of wisdom, and his love will be missed by all.
