Annabelle (Simmons) Combs, age 89 of Ozark, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019. She had been a resident of Ozark Nursing and Care. Annabelle was born September 10, 1929, In Sweden, Missouri, near Ava, the daughter of William Aaron Simmons and Frances (Strong) Simmons. On June 13, 1948, she was united in marriage to William Pryor Combs.
Annabelle and Bill lived in California for many years where they owned and operated Combs Drive-In Restaurant. They returned to Missouri and Annabelle worked alongside her husband in the Combs Auto Parts Store in Ozark before retirement.
Survivors include: Three children, Kathy Combs of Springfield, Linda Combs of Sparta, and Douglas Combs and wife Deborah of Piedmont, OK; grandchildren, Jennifer Krantz and husband Jud of Moore, Oklahoma, William Combs and wife Allison of Great Falls, Montana, and Travis Combs and wife Ashley of Springfield; a step-grandson, Stephen Miller and wife Belinda of San Antonio, Texas; great-grandchildren, Izabella, Stephen, Makenna, Kaiden, Mason, Addison, Dezmond, Justin, Kingston, Carson, Christian, and Finleigh; a sister, Lorane Butcher of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 1996, an infant son Michael, two brothers Jimmy Eugene Simmons and Norman Simmons, and her parents.
A graveside funeral will be 1:00 PM Thursday, August 15, in Hopedale Cemetery, north of Ozark, under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
