Anna Marie Love, age 86, of Sparta, Missouri passed away Friday, May 28, 2021. She was born July 22, 1934 at home in Stippville, Kansas, the daughter of John William and Mary Elva (Getman) Proffitt. Anna Marie grew up in West Mineral, Kansas where she attended school. Her high school years were full and exciting as she achieved many honors. She was voted Homecoming Queen and Prom Queen by her peers. She was chosen by the faculty to be the Drum Major of the high school band. She was involved in Drama and Theater where she received a scholarship for college. At the age of twenty she met the “Love” of her life, Leonard Love, and they were married for almost 65 years, until his passing in 2019.
Anna Marie trusted Christ as her Savior as a teenager. She was a devoted wife and mother and was what the Bible refers to as a “virtuous woman”. . . “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her” Proverbs 31:28. There are many good things and causes that Anna Marie was involved in throughout her lifetime. . .but she will be remembered most for her unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus, and her consistent example of being a woman after God’s heart.
Anna Marie had two daughters, Cindy/Eddie Beach of Apopka, FL and Sherry/her late husband Mark Trotter of New Philadelphia, Ohio. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and Jennifer Beach, Crystal and John Shupert, Candace and Ryan Little, Justin and Morgan Trotter, Jacie and Justin Higgenbotham; and twelve great-grandchildren with “two more on the way”; her sister Lena Wadino of Webb City, Missouri and her brother Don Proffitt of Pleasanton, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, six brothers, two great-grandchildren and son-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held for Anna Marie Love at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8 at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark with her grandson Pastor Justin Trotter presiding. Friends and Family are invited to a Visitation with the family a half-hour prior to the service, from 12:00-12:30p.m. Following the Funeral, Anna Marie will be interred next to her late husband in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, with her son-in-law Eddie Beach presiding.
