Alice Marie Foresman Baker went to her final rest March 27, 2018. She was born June 7, 1940 in Pueblo, Colorado to Henry Oakes Foresman and Clara Ora Riley Foresman. She attended Willard High School and Grace United Methodist Church.
She was married to Loy Lester Baker, a World War II veteran who passed away in 2004.
After their parents death she took her younger sister, Susan Elaine Foresman, into her home and saw her through high school, college, and her first year as an elementary school teacher in rural Missouri. Alice loved all animals, and had numerous cats and dogs that she loved her entire life. She was even known to sneak spiders she found in the house outside, rather than seeing them killed.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, two sisters, Marion Gross and Carolyn James, as well as her niece Kathy Moffett. She is survived by her sister Susan and her husband Jerry Flanagan, their children Charles, Shawn, and Clara Flanagan, her stepson Loy Lee Baker, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, to include: Joyce, Richard, Joe, John, Terry, and Samantha and their families. She will be deeply missed.
Graveside services and interment will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, at Springfield's Missouri Veterans Cemetery, with her husband Loy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Alice's name to the Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
