Alan Kent Shinebarger, 56, of Nixa passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at his home.
If you knew Alan, you knew a truly wonderful man. He was a rare jewel in this world. First and foremost, he loved the lord with every fiber of his being. It was that deep love and passion for God that made him the man we all deeply loved. Alan took on the nature of the Father so much that it was displayed to every person he met.
He was the purest example of what a husband should be, strong, passionate, and always protecting. He was the best dad and pop that any child could ever hope for. He was a family man in every sense of the word.
Every person he pastored, every kid that came into our home, became family. He was whatever someone needed, a dad, a friend, a pastor, an intercessor, an advocate, a voice of encouragement or wisdom, a counselor or mentor. A rock and stable force to all who knew him. He gave the best hugs when he wrapped his strong arms around you. You just knew somehow it was all going to be okay.
We have not lost one of the greats, his greatness lives on in each and every person he touched. May we all learn to love without measure as he did.
We do not say goodbye, we say, “We will see you soon.”
All our love and devotion.
Alan is survived by his wife, Nicole; a son, Aaron Shinebarger and his wife, Daylee along with their son, Joel Alan, all of Nixa; a daughter, Abby Shinebarger of Nixa; his mother-in-law, Martha Stufflebeam of Nixa; his sister-in-law, Rhonda Foster of Springfield; a niece, Amy Wensel; a nephew, Matt Wensel, both of Springfield; his cousins, Mike, Kim, and Candace Shinnebarger, all of the Tulsa and Broken Arrow area in Oklahoma; many more cousins and a multitude of friends.
