Ada Stevens Clark Dennis, age 90, of Garrison, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016. She was born February 12, 1926 in Garrison, the daughter of Henry Burl and Mary Edna (Workman) Stevens.
Ada attended State Teachers College (now MSU) in Springfield, and received a teaching degree. She taught school, and also worked for Lily Tulip and Hagale Garment Factory. Ada worked for Fasco Industries from 1965 until retirement. She enjoyed horses, and loved being with her family.
Survivors include: Two children, Steve Clark and wife Shirley of Sparta, and Cindy Clark of Ozark; three grandchildren, C.C. Williams, Keith Williams, and Chance Gideon; two great-grandchildren, Charity and Myra Mae; and two sisters, Marie Day of Chadwick, and Hester McBratney of Garrison.
Ada was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard Stevens, Ray "Short" Stevens, Wayne Stevens, and Doug Stevens; a sister, Louise Williams; two husbands; and her parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 10, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Garrison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Society.
